Almost Into My 2nd Month!

Hey guys! Long time no talk. 

Super busy, barely moments to myself, etc etc. 

 

So, Nov 3rd, my next payment is due. I’m busing out of town into the next town over to purchase the payment vouchers. 

 

I decided to log in to check my data usage, because I turned wifi off on my phone about a week ago, just to see how I could push the limits. 

Keeping in mind, I don’t stream, I don’t do much on Facebook or anything while not at home, blah blah blah, and this is my data usage, hahahahahaha! Didn’t even push a Gig. Clearly I need to try harder. This was while being out and about, updating apps, uploading some pictures, and various other things done while off wifi. 

I still couldn’t be happier with my service from PM and continue to look forward to a long, happy union with them 🤭😂💚

I called *611 the other day, it told me my next AutoPay will happen on December 13 at 2 AM Eastern time. My next payment date listed in self serve is listed as December 11.

 

So... think of the payment date as the last day before your plan expires, and this is the last day you can make a payment, without AutoPay.

 

another option on *611 also said, my plan renewal would happen at 6 AM on December 12.  So I feel I understand the whole system better now.

The 90 day plan is great. I have 12gb per 90 days.. when I last checked yesterday, I have 3gb left to use in 3 days. 😎

Check your account.  The payment due date, as listed on your "account overview" page, is the last paid day of service for your current cycle.  This means you will have service until the end of that day, even if you make no further payment and have no autopay set up.  The following day is really when the payment for the new cycle is collected and service renewed.  This will be the payment due date listed on your "rewards" page.

There was a thread on the difference in dates recently... I think you'll be fine and have a smooth renewal if you are toping up with vouchers on the third.

Do you have autopay enabled? It saves you another $6 per 90day billing cycle. And you can still use vouchers if you choose to do so.

I have 40 days left, currently have used 2.7 GB of my 12 GB.

 

Historically, I've never gone over, even when I was with Rogers and Wind.  Never had to worry about DATA SHOCK.

 

I'm on pace this cycle for about 4 GB of usage (I estimate).  I do random emailings, facebook, youtube, and minimal web browsing, as my 5" screen isn't the best for my vision.  I use Spotify to download music every 30 days, and go into 'offline' mode, so even streaming music doesn't affect me.

 

I'm pretty sure I could turn off Data Witness, and not worry about my data on cellular connection.... but I'll keep it active, just to be sure.

 

I did ALMOST run out 3 cycles ago... something strange shot me up to 11.7 GB on my final day, right before renewal.   Don't know what I did... but very unlikely to ever happen again.

Started out like you, then I started to be more liberal with my usage - more emailing, surfing, and streaming on commutes. I'm pushing just under 3Gb per month now. I think I would have withdrawal syndrom if my 12GBs were cut back now! That being said, I don't think I can be on my phone any more than this, otherwise I would not be able to work.

@Clefort88, you need to push the envelope a bit more!  This past 90 day period, I pushed my data usage to the brink due to extensive time away from home.  I only had about 400 megs left at renewal time.  I would have ran the well dry long before renewal had I not used other supplemental data plans along the way.
