Add on data not working.

Hi all, so I purchased some extra data to download pictures sent to me. I restarted my phone 2 times and when I turn on my data. I get a notification from Android system and under it; it says

 "sign in to network"

"Public mobile"

 

When I click on the notification I get a new page that shows up blank and white. 

 

What can I do to get my data going please

@Nomad99 - besides confirming whether or not you have the successfully completed the addon purchase... if you are using iMessage and you are out of data for your current cycle be sure to have SMS and MMS enabled in the settings of your device.

 

Also, if you are using android and you use Chat Features, then I suggest you turn that off, as it requires wifi or data to send/receive texts.

Disable your Chat Features: 

  1. Open Messages
  2. Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
  3. Turn Enable chat features off

@Nomad99    It could also be an APN issue.  Do you have the correct APN settings.  Here's a link to APN settings:

@Nomad99  hi buying an add on is a two step process first you put money in account then go back in and purchase add on has your data worked before on your phone also if you are receiving mms messages you just need data enabled

@Nomad99   If you're sending/receiving MMS, you don't need any plan/purchased data but need to make sure your data is enabled (turned on).

 

Go to your settings and turn on data for MMS (pictures).

 

edit:  so you have turned on data and still not receiving the photos?   Try toggling airplane mode on/off.
