I subscribed to a new service today and selected eSIM. I have not received activation email with QR code. I already authorized to transfer my existing number. My phone is currently showing SOS with no service.

I removed my old SIM, restarted the phone my phone, and still Public Mobile info underCellular

You used the app to subscribe and got to Step 6? If you used the app, you don't need the qr code as the app already installed the esim for you.  Check the Sim Manager and Settings ->Cellular sceen and a Public Mobile esim should be there.  just make sure you enable it and disable or remove the old sim/esim

Did you reboot your phone? Have you gone into your settings to see if the eSIM is there and set it as primary?
