Hi I got a SIM card activated at Wal-mart tonight for my mom.
I also purchased a 40$voucher for her so she can pay for her plan. I had intentions of creating on profile and adding her credit card, but I'm not sure how to get in yet? The agent setup the SIM and asked me her information and asked for a PIN, but what about a password?

FYI all that assisted me.
Went to Walmart and they called PM. it was confirmed it was a glitch during activation that SIM did not activate. Ticket was opened to tier 2 and it was fixed under 1 hour. I was able to receive activtion text, setup account and port number with NO issues.

When I first got my plan I thought it was the voucher too, but turned out the actual sim itself was defective. He should be able to replace no charge. Also took Q-tip and lightly clean the metal pins on the sim encasing. IF you have a slot you can try arosal or something, just thouoght I'd share.
For technical issue, the other respondant is more knowledable. Good luck tomorrow at the store.

just got her new number and was gonna port over hers.
I got my wife a PM sim as well and just tried hers and it worked with NO issues....also tried it in my mom's phone and NO issues.....I'll go see walmart tomorrow for her issues. I should of just paid with my credit card, but thought i couldn't.

Might be silly but did you check to ensure the phone itself is compatible with PM?
Get the agent to test with another active sim on your phone. Or use the sim you just bought on a different phone to see if you get service. Just process of elimination.

If he charged $40 for Public Mobile, that means he activated your SIM and chose a plan.
Does your mom already have a phone number or did you take a new number?

Since the sim is not working and the rep might not have asked you to pick a plan, seems like the rep sold you a new sim card and $40 voucher. To use it, you need to activate the sim card and during the payment, you can pay by entering the 12 digit voucher pin code.

Either that^ or rep sold a non-activate sim and $40 voucher. Check the receipt and see if you have the 12 digit pin code to redeem the voucher. How much did the rep charge you?

Did the person at Walmart ask you which plan you wanted? It sounds like they activated the SIM.

Tried another PM in her phone and it works, but not this new one.
Guess I'm going to Walmart tomorrow for activation help?

Seems like it. Put the sim in a phone and see if you get any service.

Then how did the Walmart rep activated without paying? If you just bought the sim, you will have to activate it.

How can I create her account if I need a text message sent to her new #? It looks like I need to input the voucher coupon of 40$ to pay for her plan of 30$? But I need a confirmation txt but I dont have active service?
