I guess most people are in a rush to switch over to PM and they just glance at the instructions…thinking it is straight forward…oops I shouldn’t have thrown the old SIM away.🤔😜

@BKNS27 not sure why many people missed the SMS part
and the funniest thing is that I can't believe why so many people so eager to forget their past... they throw away their old SIM at once (but they got stuck as they forgot the SMS part)

When I ported over to PM and follow all the steps…the phone worked right away.
My friend who ported over and missed one step took he a couple of days to have it running.
Can we get more details from you?
-Are you porting your old number over to PM?
-Are you choosing a new number?

@Adewale how long you have activated?
you picked a new number or porting?
What you see when you put your SIM into it? SIM not provisioned?
if you see Public Mobile on the top of the screen, can you make outgoing calls?
Give us more info.

@Adewale did you activate with a new number or port one over?
Try one or more of the below:
*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot
*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it
*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode
*reset network settings
*Is your phone locked? Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you. You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.
*Check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
