I second this, out of an abundance of caution you should remove your card if you can so that it isn't charged in error as sometimes it will get charged even if autopay is switched off

As a fyi, your Public Mobile account must be in active status to have your number ported out to another carrier unless it is Telus or Koodo.

@Samuel5 - call 611 to remove autopay. But even better, log into self serve and remove the registered card, if you have one listed there. Then after 90 days of nonpay/suspended status, your account and phone number is closed for good.
OR, if you port out your public mobile number to another provider then that also closes your account with Public Mobile.
edit...lol, yes exactly as @JK8 just posted! 😁

You can cancel by:
- porting your number out and your account will close automatically
- you can log into self service and remove your credit card. After 90 days from the next renewal date without a payment your account will close automatically
