APN settings for a Alcatel Sparq II?

Hey, I'm planning on switching over to public mobile, but before I do I want to make sure I can use MMS and data with my phone. I've seen some other posts about the APN settings and they include MMSC addresses and ports.

I don't think my phone has an MMSC address spot in my APN settings.

Does anyone know where this would go?

@rivendell  Call ahead and ask....the mobile shop or London drugs are good options to have one on hand. I have an older alcatel flip phone from the same time period and the APN set up automatically. There is no way to edit it....so hopefully yours will do the same.

@darlicious Yeah it is unlocked, unfortunately I don't know many people. I used to have a galaxy s9 with verizon and it drove me nuts so I bought a qwerty phone to replace it. I'll see if I can test it with a place before I switch. Thanks for the help

@rivendell  Do you know anyone currently with public mobile? The easiest test to see if the SIM card will automatically set up the APN  and the mmsc would be to put an active pm SIM card in your phone and test by sending/receiving a MMS. Depending where you go to activate in store they may have an active sim you could borrow. Your phone is an older no longer available phone and finding any info on it is difficult. It sets up by default....what it will default to is the question. It could default to koodo or telus which should still work but there's no guarantee until you try.... be sure it's unlocked as well.

@darlicious

I was living in the US so I'm currently with Verizon. The info below is in my phone and gives me internet but not MMS, Sorry for the confusion, I just want to know I have everything working before I switch networks...

Here is a type out of the settings I have on my phone:

@rivendell

You might be right on the APN Settings I searched your device name on google and the result I got was

"APN & data settings

We're sorry, but setting the Access Point Name and data settings are not available on this device."

Here is a great site to setup your APN and instructions on how to do it.  Find the APN Settings for Public Mobile here!
