Hello public mobile community,
I am new to public mobile and I have an iphone 8. I put in my new sim card and manually changed the APN from the cellular data network (settings —> cellular —> cellular data network ), and then restarted my phone.
Am I done at this point? I feel like I may have missed something.

@M-M-N On an iPhone there isn't a need to touch any APN settings, they automatically get set by the Carrier profile settings. Best to undo what you did and reset your network settings.

@M-M-N rest your network settings and the phone should fetch the correct apn settings.

@M-M-N you only need to mess around with your APN settings if you are having data issues and cant get a connection.
If your iPhone 8 is able to use data send mms you are all good!

With newer iPhones, users do not need to adjust APN settings. It should be automatic. As you did, just insert SIM card and reboot.
APN setting is important for data use. Does your data work properly?
If data not working, you can also try a network reset.
