I have no first hand-experience, but I would imagine that you'd be fine. Most people who only have provincial calling don't have problems. But most of what I've read about people who do have problems relates to the province-wide calling plans. I haven't heard of any of problems with Public Mobile's system errorneously believe that Canadian area codes aren't inside the country.
