All Public Mobile plans allow access to the 5G network (even those advertised as 4G or 3G).  By any chance, do you have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE?  This phone is infamous as being sold as a 5G device by Public Mobile as certified pre-owned device even though the software on it is incapable of using 5G at Public Mobile.

Hey Bud, so even tho you do have 5G capabilities, the rest depends on your device and where you are geometrically speaking, when your in an area that offers 5G it will surely popate on your device, however there are still of places where service is weak and just not as good or as strong like out in the country compared to being in the city,  also male sire your device is set to receive 5G as lots of used devices are set to receive 4G or lte only, as youove around check your phone, when ur in 5G compatible area you will receive 5G service

hi @Jrfh13

usually it is a settings on the phone.  First try Reboot the phone and then click Reset network settings

if that does not work, check the network mode and make sure it is set as Automatic.  Try also change it to 5G or 5G On
