5g plan issue

Hi

I have subscribed for 40 GB 5g plan. My phone is Samsung S20 FE 5g  (SM-G781W) but I don't see 5g logo on my screen.

How can I fix this issue?

the public mobile network does not support VOLTE and 5G on Samsung S20 FE 5G. Switch to other carriers. I switched to Freedom Mobile and their network supports VOLTE and 5G on this device.

Hi there,

Some cellular devices may come with 5G disabled. I would advise poking around your phones cellular settings to see if 5G is enabled, or if your phone is set to disable it to save battery.

It's also possible that you're in an area which doesn't have 5G coverage, though this far into the game I find that unlikely.

@Panduka , I have this phone running on the service as well.  I also do not get 5G. I have no solution.  That said, you can achieve data speeds up to the 5G data speed limit on 4G.  In any event you won't experience any noticeable reduction in user experience.

@Panduka  Yes his is known issue with s20 for 5G onPM but you will still get faster speeds of 100mbs 4G plan with your phone set to LTE  do  speed text to confirm
