As softech mentioned, iOS 16.6 is the latest. Have you tried checking for an update again?

Because iphone only supports 5g network since iphone 12 and onwards. There's no way for iphone 11 to support 5g network as it's a hardware compatibility.
You will be able to have access to 5g network once you used it on a compatible devices.

I think someone earlier today updated to 16.6 or 16.4 and the 5G options there
and remember to update Carrier Profile as well

@IceRooster Do you see the 5G option in your Settings > Cellular > Voice and Data options? If yes, set it to 5G and see if works. Another thing to confirm is if you are in the 5G coverage. You can review the coverage map to see if your area is covered.

@IceRooster "the current 5G compatible iPhones are only within the iPhone 12 series and above. To summarize, you'll never be able to use the 5G network on an iPhone 11, 11 Pro, or 11 Pro Max"

what iOS version you have?
for iPhone, we have couple confirmed that once you updated to the latest iOS, and update the Carrier profile, you will see the 5G option there
update: as @NDesai confirmed, the above trick does not apply to iPhone 11 as iPhone 11 is not 5G compatible 🙂
