3G shutdown and volte compatability

i received the text re retiring the 3G network

if i go to buy a newer phone how can i tell before i buy if it is volte compatable?

if i get a new hone can i keep my existing plan?

as mentioned above:
From what I understand Samsung A12 is not on PM's VoLTE whitelist.  However, if you see LTE when making calls, then it is using VoLTE and you should be ok.   I suggest you to open a ticket with PM CS agent to clarify.   Please open ticket with PM support

For compatible Android phonesSamsung S22/Flip 2/Fold 2/A15/A35/A55 or later,  Google Pixel 4 or later, or other major brands of phones released after 2024 and are designed and sold for the Canadian market should work.

I received a text from pm that my phone will stop working march 2027. I have a samsung a12 . Imei ##############.

The imei checker says phone not compatable however with wifi off making a voice call phone shows lte.

Doesn't that mean I'm on volte? 4g

Will my phone continue to work or not. I'm getting mixed answers. Maybe yes.

If not  how do I know what phones will work if I buy a new one?

Also, can I continue to use the same pm plan.

Before purchasing a new phone check its IMEI against PM database. Search HELP for 'VoLTE' and you will see the compatibility check screen.

1. Open ticket via Chatbot (need access to My Account): At https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
    Start by typing "Ticket", click "Contact Us"  then choose a topic, click "Login", finally click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗
    (if unable to receive 2FA via SMS when login, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend Code"
                then choose "
Send email" or "Send Voice Message" to get 2FA via email or voicemail)
2. If you have trouble with Chatbot or you don't have access to My Account: Private message CS Agent at: 
       https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after ticket submitted, CS Agent will reply to you there    

And remember to come back and let us know what the agent says
