$15 (data+talk+text) limited plan?

Hi, back to school season season is there.

Wondering if public mobile is thinking of creating a $15 (data+talk+text) limited plan for low consumption users?

like Freedom now offers 250MB data, 100min Canada-wide talk, unlimited text for $15/month

https://www.freedommobile.ca/plans-and-devices/plans#category=basics

We could create something similar ($15 -$20) like 200MB data, 100min province talk, 100min text

I mean there should be something between the $10 and the $30 plan...

Your suggestion is great for someone uses data to send MMS pictures or WhatsApp photos.

$8 with autopay for 50 CW minutes + 50 outgoing text

add: 1GB addon at $30 = $7.5/m for 250MB data/m spread over 4 months

Total = $15.50 per month

This will be good alternative while we are waiting for PM to offer the $15 50/50/250 plan.:)

Don't hold your breath waiting.  If you want to know what's around the corner in terms of new deals, lol at the competition.  That drives the promo program, not what we discuss here.

@lyx I like the way you think, hopefully PM is cooking something up for back to school deals.  I'm definitely keeping my eyes open.  The plan you created sounds pretty nice, and would be even better if the unused minutes and texts roll over to the next month.

Fingers crossed, hopefully they come up with something, and I'm also hoping they have a nice LTE plan with voice and text, something in the $35-$40 range.

the real problem is I don't think 50sms/50min talk is practical for some user...

The $10 ($8 with auto pay) 50 text, 50 minute plan can be paired up with a $30 1 gig add-on to yield something very close to the Freedom $15.  If the 1 gig of non expiring data can be made to last 4 months (250 MB per month), that comes out to $7.50 per month for data.  Total cost per month is $15.50 which not too far off the Freedom offer.  For a tiny bit more, you get access to a real network.

A cheaper unlimited text plan with some talk and data would be perfect for some teenagers these days.  It would be a great plan for even $20.

I think it's a great idea.  Would also be a nice with a really really low usage account.  I have one in Sweden which costs $18 valid for 365 days, and deducts usage from the $18 balance over the year. When I top up every year it rolls over my unused balance to the next year and is handy for someone like me who just needs to send texts from a Swedish number from time to time and also receive texts at a Swedish number for different services.

No one knows if they will do that. Recently they have been competing with chatr and lucky mobile. So it will not matter what freedom does because PM do not compete with them anymore. Itis highly doubtful that they will launch something like that.
