Greetings,
My wife and I each half the 500+500 plan and are very satisfied with the service. We are giving our daughter a new phone for the Christmas and she will require at least 10GB/month of data. Does PM offer any plans that would accomodate that? Thanks

Personally I don't see why kids need data. There's wifi everywhere and they could just call each other instead of video calling. Seems like a waste to me. I'm not much older than a teenager anyways

@ssprod During the Black Friday sales, PM had an extra 1GB recurring bonus, which would have gave 9.5GB (8.5+1gb extra). If you really want more data, you could possibly wait for sales closer to Boxing Day. If not then, it's likely they will offer additional 1GB again to increase their sales in the future. However, the delimna is that the one-time 1GB free data and 400 LD international minutes promo expires end of Dec, 25th.

Oh @Ed404 did you see the kids???? It helps being on 3g as many streaming apps get better about buffering and resources if they detect that they are on throttled connection. But yeah kids are never easy on resources, everyone with teenagers complains. They wanna watch when they wanna watch.
Btw I met somebody who is on bell contract paying 110 for 4 gigs lte. A friend with me is on 5g public mobile plan paying $21. She couldn't believe it, he logged in and showed her. She took his referral:)

How do people afford these plans? Also what do you do with 10GB of data?

You can always keep an eye out and switch right to Public Mobile as well when the offer is avaiable.

I shall hang in, with baited breath and hope that 10GB comes our way. Thank you!

Thanks for your insight.. Looks like PM won't be an option for my daughter.

Stay put, I'm waiting too
They were offering briefly 10g for 60 and with a code you could upgrade it to 12.5g with autopay. I have a young relative who uses about 10 and in just hoping to be there to catch it.

@ssprod , you are going to have to shop tier 1 and 2 brands to find that kind of usage. Public Mobile it's a tier 3 brand designed for minimalist users looking for value.

Current highest plan offered is the $50 plan with 8 GB data, with a 500MB bonus for auto pay.
That brings it to 8.5 GB.
There are 1 GB addon at $30 each on demand if your daughter finishes the 8.5 GB.
That would bring it to $70 for 10.5 GB, honestly speaking, you should consider other options.
You can get a 20 GB plan from Bell/Telus/Rogers for $85 a month right now, no contract. Or even 50 GB at $125. Better bang for your buck if your daughter consumes over 10 GB data.
But how?.... use WiFi and it should take up most of your data needs.

If you sent up auto pay with the $50 plan, you would get a total of 8.5 GB

The available plans can be found here:

You can add addon's if more data is required.
