Hi All,

Is there a way to see the bill of payment per month as pdf instead of transaction payment history?

Thanks so much!

Hello,

I was just about to ask if there was a way of printing my Transaction History, and came across this topic.

I question why PM, with so many years in business has not developed a "print page" or "print statement" button?

It seems print screen my only option.

In reference to previous comments, proof of residency or legitimacy of who a PM account holder is in order to qualify for Income Tax purposes is between the taxpayer (claiming the expense) and Canada Revenue.

Just like having to get estimates for home repairs, one needs physical proof of an expense.

On the other hand, if it's an issue on PM's side in that they have to develop a button then they should be up front about this.

@daredogg Ya, I should have look into public mobile carefully and I just knew about this community chat where there are not real phone number to call customer service.

Public mobile needs to have an infographic video instead of a banner to show the future client on how their system and account works before applying. Yes, providing a banner at front page cost less for them but there is a lot of risk involved for future client or us if we knew that the self serve account is plain simple. Maybe I'm looking into too much for public mobile as their slogan say "less for less"......

Ya, my company stop giving out phones and took everything back because my collagues where abusing the system by using it as their personal phone and data streaming on the road or outside working hours. These cost the company a big bill that we didn't have to pay for it. So now, I have to suffer for someone's else mistake.

That makes sense @Derek_ml. I can see why in your case it would be quite convenient to download a PDF instead of needing to request a statement. That makes more work for you, so I guess it begs the question of how valuable your time is. Yes, you save money, but is it worth your time?!  They should just give you a company phone... Robot Very Happy

hi @daredogg, Thanks for your reply. I'm doing this because I'm using my own phone plan for company purpose during my trip on site. The head of IT at our company has made a final decision to stop providing us with mobile phone. Therefore, when it comes to reimbursement at my company, I need to provide a proof of payment and minutes history each month. The transaction history doesn't show a tax breakdown.

I would agree that in the future (public mobile) should revised their transaction history to show more information than just what you paid at face value. A call history per minutes is always a good idea to have for my perspective too.

@mimmo Thanks for including that link. Holding onto the PM vouchers after redeeming them would also be a good idea, instead of tossing. When I buy vouchers it's either from Hasty Market or Esso and the debit receipt has their name and address on it. I usually pair up the receipts with my bank statements in case CRA ever wants to have a look (self-employed here). Even if your name and address aren't listed, I'm thinking it would be enough to satisfy the CRA... but I could be wrong! I don't have the experience to back up what I'm saying...

Hey @Derek_ml I just went through this process... of requesting an summary report of what I paid to Public Mobile in 2017. I want this for income tax purposes in case CRA audits me. I am self-employed and claim a portion of my cellular costs. At the moment, other than bank statements, I have no way to prove these costs are legit. I contacted the moderators and my request is now in process. I realize you're asking about PDFs, but I'm wondering if they'll email me the receipt or send it in the mail. Either way, the ability to generate your own PDFs would be a good future in future builds of the backend system.

@Derek_ml  this thread has all the info needed to request an invoice.

some people will go buy vouchers from 7-11 or shell or other locations.  that will have gst info on them, but not name and address like you were looking for.  not sure if wow mobile or london drugs could sell you a voucher and create an in house invoice for you.

@Derek_ml generally pre-paid account invoices are not valid for proof of residency, since you could literally put any address [and even name, etc] you like in your self-serve account and nobody verified any of your ID when you signed up.

I saw the transaction history but that's not what I'm after. I want a proof of payment with my name on it and address.

Cheers!

If you are using Firefox (Chrome probably has similar extensions), you can download print/save-to-pdf extension and print or save your Transaction History.

I see, by any chance if you knew the invoice comes with name and address on it like other mobile bill?

Thanks!

@Derek_ml There is no way to generate a pdf report. You will have to send a private message to the Moderator_Team to get an invoice.
