If people knew the plan ended today they may have switched earlier in the day.

The stores close at 9pm. I don't have the time to go.
08-17-2017 07:59 PM
I wonder how many people actually switched to the freedom promo
08-17-2017 07:58 PM
so @Michael77 still going to switch? @jshmeek still gonna give them a go?
08-17-2017 07:46 PM
It's sad. This really isn't competition. It looks like the big 3 and small 1 are talking with each other. This is not the way it's supposed to be. I am not sure what can be done? I guess we just live with it.

Interesting game they're playing...

Thanks. I've sent them a message. I will let you know how it goes.

@Jeremy_M So you can wait until Freedom backs off? Typical... Try to compete, get one upped, hide in a corner.

Don't count on a better promo, I hope I'm wrong
Correct. Just take the best month-month deal for you today and see what tomorrow brings. PM's 90 day plans are helpful for managing data, but painful if a better deal occurs close to your renewal.

Hope PM would still honour the promotion..
@panzer168 Two options:
a) click this: message to moderators to send a private message to the moderator team with your phone number and an explanation requesting they honour the promo, or
b) port back to Freedom for their Public Mobile customer deal, but you would forfeit your payment already made to PM.

To avoid unnecessary expectations. The promo has been removed and not put on hold. Stay tuned for other great promotions!

@jshmeek Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the new promo.

I messaged the mods to see what the deal was with the promo. Here's the response. Looks like they'll be re-releasing it, and possibly revamping it.

Thanks guys! So happy I left Freedom - was there for 5 days (didn't know it was so bad) and hated every moment of it. "Jumped" on this promo when my brother told me about it

@eelui yeah i was worried that some may have done this. I'd be pretty livid if I were you, too! 😞 You could try sending a polite request to the moderator team via private message to see if they can help. Technically as you were trying to circumvent the restrictions on the promo they probably aren't under any obligation to help but they just might as a gesture of good will. Worth asking, at least!

WHAT!
I just ported out from Freedom mobile thinking this promo was going on - I went into the kiosk to buy the prepaid SIM card too.
08-17-2017 04:34 PM
Wow !
go into town to run a few errands, come back and it's all craziness. This must what the Whitehouse feels like everyday now.

my cousin found this on Reddit re FM's coverage in the Lower Mainland...
Known bad reception areas in the Vancouver / Richmond and surrounding areas
Costco in Downtown Vancouver
190th street and 70th ave in Surrey, BC. (The area has zero reception. There's a school right there)
Along 24 Ave, between 124 St and 144 St
Along 28 Ave, between 128 St and 140 St
Back end of Walmart in South Surrey
Superstore in South Surrey
Along Hwy 99 right before the tunnel driving into Richmond (one bar sometimes)
Lougheed Highway at Bainbridge, Burnaby BC
Along Canada Way between Burnaby City Hall and Imperial (service is sketchy, data drops constantly)
Along 29th Ave. Station and Nanaimo Station
