This means that on May 9th from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM ET, you won't be able to do the following:

• Access The Public Mobile Community. 

Everything else should be working without any issues.

Thinking more of under the hood maintenance, and hoping for some changes. I am no hoping for much so that no matter what changes it won't be a disappointement.
