Hey Community,
Today, November 28th, you will be receiving a wireless public alerting test message if you have a compatible device. Canada’s Alert Ready service became available on April 6, 2018, and its purpose is to broadcast emergency alerts to inform you of critical or potentially life-threatening situations that require immediate attention to keep you and your family safe. To learn more about the Alert Ready service, what devices are supported, and the test schedule for your province or territory, visit alertready.ca.

Same here on the BB10 phone. What's frustrating is BB10 devices meet all the criteria for the emergency alert.

According to what I heard on the radio this morning, the alert is being tested at 1:55 pm LOCAL time, except in Quebec, where it will be heard at 2:55 pm (local time).
It's currently 13:13 where I am, so it's going to be about 40 minutes from now.
On the original test of the system, my Nexus 5 did get the notifications, however, I wasn't on the right OS to do so, nor was my device 'supported' by the system as laid out on the website. I'm on a new device now, with a supported OS. We shall see what happens.

Likely those who brought in phones that are not marketed in Canada. 🤭
I didn't get the previous test.
I got the one in Hawaii last January though when I was with an MVNO there.
A thoroughly Canadian Blackberry OS10 phone.

Oh uh, it's that time again. Let's see if it works perfectly this time. Thanks for the heads up @Brooke_C, so I don't get a heart attack when my phone goes off beside me, lol.
