WiFi texts and calls

There is no cell service at my place in the Gulf Islands. I do have internet. How can I get calls and texts online?
I left my phone at my cabin and wont be back for 10 days.

Can I activate a new sim with the same number? Does that deactivate the old sim?

When I tried to install and activate the Public Mobile sim card I got a message that my iphone 5 was not compatible with the sim card.

Thats what I do now but having 2 numbers confuses people and I miss calls and texts on my cell until I leave my acreage and get service.

There is no cell service at my acreage. Have to drive about 2 k to get to service. THere are other spots on the island with no service.
