Hi, I was wondering if I could port out my old (current) number then port in a new one while keeping the same plan? Asking because I am on the grandfathered $90/12GB plan and would like to give my plan to my mom as I will be going to the states soon....

Thank you all for your replies, I had the same understanding as @NDesai prior to posting this. I just wanted to confirm my understanding. It is a shame that there isn't an option to pause the plan just for a tiny bit.

That's pretty funny, it must be the auto-recogniation software doing the work from Samsung On a more serious note, did you try saving your Voicemail number as Voicemail into your contacts? That might override the defaults.
