2) picture messages are unlimited so shouldn't count towards your data, the small usage amount is likely data being used in the background by other applications on your phone when mobile data is turned on

If you have 2 different accounts you will have to edit the payment information for each account.Since it's a self-serve service you will have to do this yourself - look under the payment section in your account and change the credit card information ...
