I personally find having a phone with good haptic for keyboard makes my accuracy pretty close to a physical keyboard, so I never saw a reason for one. Would have been nice to see another blackberry phone though.
I think it's great that more companies are providing longer OS and security updates, forcing the standard to be higher across the board. I think flagship phones are more than capable of handling the 3-4 years of OS updates.
