If your old SIM still works, I would not worry about it too much as long as you have sent a PM to the Mods. They will eventually fix the issue and will change your plan start date to when full activation occurs. This is what happened with me.
I had the same type of issue, before it was resolved. PM did not compensate any sort of credit for the delays, they just push forward your payment date to the day that service was fully activated. Hope this helps and you get up and running soon!
