Yes it probably just hasn't re-setted it self yet because once your son missed the payment his account restarted which would cause you're to go up a $1. Hope this helped!
You will receive the $5 as a credit which will be taken off your next bill and after that it will continue as normal and take the $5 off each month for 8 months. Hope this helps!
