Are you in an area that offers wifi @eldacardone ?
If so, than
- Go into the Settings menu of your device. ...
- From there, the top option you will see under “Wireless & Networks” is Wi-Fi.
- Select Wi-Fi and turn the toggle or button to “On.”
- The device will display all of the networks in range.
- If the network is unlocked you should be able to connected. If the network is locked, you will need the network password to connect.
If having issues, try restarting your phone, OR perform a reset of your device's network settings.
OR - are you talking about DATA. Wifi is different than DATA.
"While WiFi lets you connect to the internet via your router, cellular data lets you connect to the internet via your cell phone signal."
In order to access DATA. Ensure first you have your DATA option enabled in the settings of your device.
Then make sure you have enough DATA left on your Public Mobile plan or addons are available.
Below is a screenshot of showing 158.65 MB remaining on 250 MB total of plan data. So data is available to use in this case.

Reset your wifi setting on your phone, use your data or connect to free wifi.
