Original Post: https://mobilesyrup.com/2024/08/28/elon-musk-starlink-offer-free-satellite-emergency-services-worldw...

Elon Musk provided T-Mobile with exclusive Cell-To-Satellite Starlink service as it is currently in testing in some parts of the USA, while AT&T and Verizon are on another partnership.

AT&T and Verizon wrote a letter of complaint to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) about the broadcasting frequencies being to unsafe for consumers.

Elon is now allowing Starlink with Emergency Alerts and SOS calling for all users - even if the carrier isn't T-Mobile, and is going to be Available in countries that are going to allow Starlink Cell-To-Satellite service.

Canada has an exclusive partnership with SpaceX's Starlink - Rogers.

And SOS Cell-To-Satellite with Emergency Alerts offered via Starlink with be better in a way than Apple's and Google's SOS via Satellite - in a way.

Apple includes: iMessage, AMA Roadside assistance, and Limited SMS services via satellite currently available in the USA - SOS via Satellite in other countries - Including Canada.

Google Includes: 2 Years free of SOS via Satellite in the USA - Expanding in other countries soon.

Starlink: More Compatibility with phones - instead of the latest and greatest devices getting the Satellite feature, most LTE compatible phones will be able to access SOS calling and Emergency Alerts for free.

----

Will this increase the Rogers user base?
