I really should get in the habit of checking these dates. Ancient threads really should auto-lock after a year of inactivity, as they do on many other forums, lol. To prevent necro spammers, to prevent Korth from looking foolish.

@yanzhiqiang @Korth

Uhhhh....the OP has been with pm for almost two years ( did you see the date?) But the latest poster appears to be a spammer....I'm only guessing with my extemely poor french but I'm sure @Lieux can take care of it.....thx in advance!

If you're new then I'd recommend grabbing one of the Canada-wide plans now, they're only available at their existing (old) prices for a limited time, then it's +$5 across the board. (Until/Unless PM runs a promo in the future.)

You can always login Self-Serve and switch to any of the plans PM currently offers, but once you switch away from a "grandfathered" legacy plan (which is no longer offered) then you can't switch back to it.

Try to get some friends/family as referrals on a Canada-wide plan, too. Easy to do if you always have a spare PM SIM card handy and if you casually mention/demonstrate that your phone service is always just as reliable as the Telus+Bell network can be.

You can always plug your PM SIM card into another phone - including a potential referral's phone - to confirm the phone is unlocked and compatible with the network. Only takes a couple restarts and a couple minutes, quick, easy, and the protective/worried phone owner can watch. Be sure to check the APN settings in phone software - if they're UI-locked (greyed out and can't be user-configured) then the phone won't be able to access Data on PM.

I did my homework well ahead of time, so I am aware it's not as fast or amazing as the big 3 but its affordable and saves me money so I am happy lol. Thank you for the heads up though.

PM is just as fast for 3G Data, although of course it basically doesn't offer LTE anymore.

Exactly same service and network as Telus (or Bell), which basically means the best in Canada, overall.

PM does have quirks and problems and could (should) be improved. But, aside from refusing to sell LTE performances, it has technical capalities just as "amazing" as anything the Big Three can provide.

I think gambling is a quite good alternative for leisure I also think that this activity is not for everyone. You should be aware of negative effects of gambling. And of course you should carefely choose the websites for gambling if you do it online. I like services like https://ipayzz.com/fr/ about online gambling in Canada. I read reviews there and it helps me to choose the most reliable casinos to play.

Regarding gambling in an online casino like what your link suggests, consider the fact that it is easier to cheat others using computers than in a real life casino, ie they can program the computer to make you win or lose - that fact alone makes the risks not worth it gambling against those who control the computers.

Gambling? Life is gambling, whether you risk your $ in stocks or bonds or hockey cards or bitcoins or any business venture - it's all gambling(risks vs rewards). Same about everything you do in life, walking down the street or travelling to other countries or driving a car - that's why insurance companies make so much $ by insuring the risks we take in everyday life, health insutance is same idea.

So, whatever to do to make $, whether it's working at mcdonalds or playing cards, it's gambling - only the odds that you make more $ than you lose are less risky at mcdonalds than at the casino.

Probably you know, many lose gambling. This happens not even because there is a high probability of losing. And because many players choose deliberately dishonest, bad casinos with negative reviews. Even if you win at such casinos, you may not be able to withdraw the money. Therefore, choose a proven casino, see rating. Carefully read the casino reviews. And risk only free money, which you are immediately ready to lose.

Free money?! Where can I get me some o' that?...legally

I have switched over 2 months ago from freedom.  I pay a little bit less with freedom (after the bundle discount coz I have multiple lines) for similar level of service but only 250 mb data.   I signed up with PM for the $25 canada wide mins unlimited text and 500+bonus 500 mb.  For a few bucks more I get more data.  Totally worth it so I decided go for it.  So far so good and there has been no issue so far.  I hope I would never come across those giltches you guys are talking about because I am still not very used to the "self help" no customer hotline I can call.  Hope I would never need to trouble the moderators for help!  Thanks everyone in advance!

Welcome to Public Mobile. I haven't needed them for any technical or account issue since I got here a year ago. You just need to be aware of other calling and texting options if and when there's some kind of glitch or outage.

Welcome! I was on a 90 dollar plan 7gb but 2 gb was about to expire I was happy when I found public mobile. I found the service just the same and paying significantly less. Very happy with them so far.

@will13am actually it included a Samsung s8 but it never went down because that's the "best plan" they could provide me...it got to the point that i called cancellation and even the lady told me i should switch lmao. Still have the phone though and it's still awesome as day one.

Yeah, it's a no brainer to switch.  For what you would pay over two years, you should have been given 3 of those phones.

Welcome and I hope that you end up being happy with the Public Mobile service.  While there are some strange system glitches at Public Mobile, people are definitely here for the price.  Keep that in mind when it comes to expectations and most people shouldn't have too many issues with the service.
