Just how legitimate is this

So I asked for a little help and all of a sudden I get, or at least it seems I get, but I sure have to give out a lot of information to someone or something that I don't have a clue who or what it is other than their title in a forum!? I kind of get that feeling when you're walking down the street somewhere at night and you're in a shady area of town and Buddy standing on the corner and he goes "Hey, come here ... have I got a deal for you, know what I mean!? And if I do that, how do I know that someone's just not stealing my information and going to sign up with my vouchers and or worse sell my personal information!? The more I remain on this forum the more uneasy I feel about the shadiness, and yes it's shady!?

Good on you to have some healthy paranoia and hold your private info close to your chest. That's exactly the way you should feel when it comes to a public forum and the internet in general. People these days especially with social media reveal far too much personal info and wonder why they get hacked later on? Unless it's obvious in a username most of us regulars anyhow....don't even know who is male or female?!! Let alone old or young or middle aged? Green, blue, yellow or orange? Although as you do strike up friendships and you may learn the odd detail it is funny to learn that who you thought was boy is a girl or vice versa? Or who has purple hair or who is your grandpa's age or young enough to be your grandchild! Keep your superhero status secret.....no one needs to know not even customer support but you may not want to leave Clark Kent on your profile page?!! 🎯

@Miffed   Don't give out any personal information if in doubt as to whether the person asking is a PM employee or not,   Also don't ever post any personal info in this community forum as this an open space for anyone with internet connection.  Private message is where you can communicate safely with customer support or even fellow customers, but of course, don't give out info unless you're messaging with a CS_Agent.

Here's a link to CS_Agent via private message and you will see the CS_Agent in the Send To box:
