My plan provides only 20GB cellular data per month. I want to watch playoff hockey on my iPhone Xs remotely (no WiFi). I don't care if video quality is poor. Currently Sportsnet uses approx. 3GB per hour. I cannot find any settings in Sportsnet, Public Mobile or iOS 17.4.1 to stream low quality video. How can I limit cellular video streaming data usage?

It seems that 1080p is the highest resolution available from Sportsnet for the iPhone. This from Sportsnet support site:
"The chart below is a comprehensive list of available devices and the maximum resolution capabilities on each."

@Mondocanuck - On SportsNet app there should be a toggle for cellular streaming / Low Data Mode which will limit video quality to approximately 1080P to 480P. If there isn't a toggle in the app, I will recommend you use 3G as that is slower than 5G / LTE and can only go up to 10mbps.
Also it is only using 5MB a minute.
Also I would recommend you get the 50GB $34 plan as when you reach 50GB you will still have data going.
EDIT: Public Mobile automatically looks at what video you are watching and determines what category it should be (4K, 1080P, 720P, 480P) to reduce strain on the network.

I believe that Sportsnet will adjust the streaming bit rate automatically, depending on the speed of your connection. If you have your connection set to 5G or 4G try setting it to 3G and see what happens. I don't have an iPhone and I have not tried this so I'm just guessing.
