Hey there, It would be great if we could also get wifi calling now that Telus has released support with iOS 10.2! This would allow us to still make calls even if our signal isnt the greatest, but we still have a strong wifi connection. Source
@Chaos_Scorpio most people would prefer to not have to use an additional app as not everyone in a users contact list uses Whatsapp. Also, majority of people would rather be able to text/call people using their actual phone number.
I personally would like to see PM have many different options, this can certainly be a great way to expand, UNLESS PPL want No frills, then that would be a drastic error, cause I can see PM offer a whole range of different services, and they can certainly fit the PM Model currently in place
Imagine, Every type of Service, Business as well, every kind of Postpaid-like, w/o grace period or warranty of phone or call centers, BUT the remaining under a DIYS model
@cheddarburrito I think this is a marvellous idea. I would also like to see Voice over LTE (VoLTE) implemented as well, seeing as Telus and the other major carriers provide access to such a service.
I sense that Telus will see this as a "premium feature" and use it to attract/keep customers. Over time, this may float down to their flanker brands. TBH, with the multitude of apps out there, wifi calling is available already.
