The 2-Stage process to Buy Add-Ons is kinda awkward, and some PPL have been confused

WHY NOT PM make the Purchasing Simple, WHEN using CC, 1-Step, NOT 2-Step

@will13am, I agree.  I just purchased an addon for the first time, I am not sure if it was a recent update but there was a message on the top of the page telling me my account was topped up with $20 not that I purchased an addon.  Now it should be a one step process but I had no problem followin the 2 step

It could also be as simply as stating please ensure you have a balance equal to the addon price you wish to purchase in your available funds before continuing. to add funds click here.

@ShawnC13, @will13am don't forget that you are both highly active community members and have the benefit of knowing ahead of time that there's more to it. Most don't have that pre-knowldge. When was the last time you went to buy something online and had to first make a manual payment and then click go back and then the buy button? I'm guessing other than for PM add-ons, never? Usually the payment processing is the final part of the purchase.

@srlawren, I agree it should be a one step prcess and that with our time and activity level we do have an advantage. I was just stating that with my puchase yesterday it was clear that my account had been topped up with $20.  If you go to the link I posted you can see the message I got after my first purchase of hte US addon.

@srlawren, I am not trying to be disagreeable. It's my honest opinion that the process was not that bad and there does not appear to be a big pothole for customers to fall into. I didn't purposely try to break the process to see what kind of response the systems throws at you. Otherwise, it seemed to be quite intuitive as is. Anyway, if the steps are changed, you won't see me protesting one bit.

@will13am @ShawnC13 I didn't say anything at the time as I don't really like publicly announcing when I'm going to be away (just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me!).  However, I had ALSO just gone through US add-on purchasing, as well as coaching my [fellow PM customer] travel companion through the process.  I am definitely well aware of the 2-step process and should know how to do it.  I'm going to be honest here and say I was confused for a short while after making the payment.  It's not at all intuitive to have to click "go back" after making a purchase and then actually make the purchase.  [Maybe "proceed to purchase" or something would be clearer?  "go back" after submitting a payment just feels really werid.]

knew I had to make the purchase and it still wasn't obvious to me how to actually proceed at the end of the payment step.  The last time I did so was back in late April, so I'm a bit rusty, but still!  Let me further preface this [postface? since I've already told the story?] by saying I'm a senior IT professional (software dev) in my early 40's with nearly 18 years of experience and plenty of web surfing and online purchasng in my back pocket.  It really needs to be simpler. Nuff said.  @Jeremy_M I hope you're still listening.  🙂
