Interesting thought! Are you particularly concerned about spam / abuse on our Community (I know we had a fun attack once - see here - but nothing since)? We've considered it, but what do you think?
I haven't noticed a whole lot of spam here. Matter of fact, I've just seen some people posting their questions multiple times but then again, those people are thinking they're talking to Public Mobile when they are really posting on a public forum. Not everyone is used to forums.
Hello, Though I am not in that demographic, I'm opposed to Captcha because elderly customers, many of whom have poor vision, may find them hard to "decipher". I've encountered captchas which were literally the clearly printed numerals of a street address. At the opposite extreme, there were captchas with letters and numerals so intertwined that I had to study each one before entering it. In some cases, it took 4 attempts before I was successful. If PM decides to institute captchas, let it be identical to the first experience, as described above.
Hello Cyber, Thank you for bringing the YouTube link to my attention. After viewing the vid and a related one, it's clear that the new recaptcha is a vast improvement over its older counterpart.
Hey, are we still thinking about this? Originally when I saw this, I was thinking HECK NO! As Martin and I had the same concern, for different reasons.
However, this 2.5 year old Lab idea should be implemented!
