After a maintenance shut down it would be nice to have a change log to refer to and see what was worked on.  It doesn't have to be super detailed but even bullet point

  • addon purchases
  • sim activation
  • lost password email

Something like that will help us that are helping members.  We can try it out or at least takea look so that we aren't giving out bad infomation.

A great idea, but a catch 22 at the same time, what happens when backlash happens for working on an issue no one in the community is aware of?

As a former IT guy, detail is what I want, as a customer, I just want my problem fixed!

ATM, no problem for me, just a general “I want the backlog dealt with”

@stonechucker, for the customer the "I want my problem fixed" is great but as people who are helping provide support for the company it would be nice to have an idea of what was worked on to see if there are any changes or we have to alter how we offer support.

Lol, Google changelog for their apps invariably say performance improvements and bug fixes. I suspect there is an element of secrecy unless there is a new feature worth talking about.

I totally agree @ShawnC13, however as @will13am suggests, the lack of real information is frustrating for all, when you’re told less than useful information .

I performed an update to my iPadAir to iOS 11.0.1 which broke the accessibility zoom function for me, and when the update for 11.0.2 came out, there was no information about it fixing it, but reviews I was reading were reporting further errors.

i had to cross my fingers and toes, hoping it would fix my much needed zoom function, and pray it didn’t break something else!

Too each their own, but as an end user with an IT troubleshooting history, and someone who documented many files for internal use by support staff, I am frustrated with the lack of transparency offered by today’s tech community.

@stonechucker, imagine the embarrassment of reporting that we are going to break the accessibility zoom in this update. Changelogs are viewed as having huge political overtones that usurp any value that may come with transparent reporting. I am quite serious about the bug fix thing. If the list was detailed, it's an admission of past sins. Just by having a long list may lead to impressions that the software is junk.
