I used the find a place close to me that sells vouchers and was given names of shops in my area. after some digging those shops where actually in another province! This needs be overhauled.

I tried my local Walmart to see if they selling the PM SIM cards as my friends are interested but like me need be sure they can use fulltime. My Walmart does not sell anything like phones/ SIM cards or Vouchers (just laptops and tablets).

Since there NO pay online with Bank Debit or PayPal our only option is credit card (i currently using virtual visa via Royal Bank). We low income community but use PayPal to import via online shopping for years and avoid credit cards.

PLEASE use PAYPAL and BANK DEBIT pay options ASAP!

I so want drop royalbank for tangerine (which i use most but they no virtual credit card)

I know 50 people looking for better phone packages but since no local way to get SIM and Vouchers/top up cards they need stick to their current cable/phone bundles which are overly priced.

ALSO you guys need put out more info on your current and long term plans so we not always asking same question over and over again. So more transparent NEWS (weekly/bi-weekly)

Point well taken.

By the way, another no fee banking option for you is Simplii Financial (which used to be called President's Choice Financial).  It's owned and operated by CIBC.

Yes but closest CIBC to me is 2.5 hours drive away vs Tangerine 45 minute drive. I seriously been looking at every option to me already - bank debit and paypal from PM be great and/or Tangerine get virtual visa but like PM they no frills so prob never happen.

@randolphbenoit

Sorry to hear that. It's good you've done your research. 🙂

@randolphbenoit - as of Dec 1 the payment voucher store list has been updated.

Acknowledging also that while the SIM order site takes PayPal, the Public Mobile self serve site doesn't. We'll take this away and investigate options for adding additional ways to pay.

@David_J Why Shoppers Drug mart or Canadian Tire is not listed as voucher carrier? I have seen my local SDM and CT selling them.

@David_J tested the updated map last night and showed that our local shopping area has no vouchers (walmart, royal bank, shoppers etc) 45 minute drive away... BUT! it did show the local post office did! I just came from there as it only 5 min drive from here (run but old class mates of mine). While they never hard of PM their system does indeed sell top-up vouchers ($10, $22, $25, $28, $40, $43 and $48). Just tested $10 one on the account and worked np. This allows me to drop Royal Bank virtual visa and chequing (I use Tangerine now).

Now just need buy enough to keep account running, since I on auto pay I hope you will add paypal and bank debit for backup funding vs credit card.

PM suppose to help reduce costs so credit cards are not going to help, not with high interest rates. Going let my friends know they we can locally buy vouchers 🙂
