I just put on my SIM Swap t-shirt so it made me think of this.

Here's a new one. For each account currently active on PM, give them a free SIM card to encourge others to join. Make them fill out a form, easily monitored via phone number to avoid hoarding. Just to have one on hand - 'just in case'.

I can't see it would cost very much and the uptake would be small - 10% would seem like a lot. Send a SMS to advertise it but they have to come here to the community to get it. Getting more people here would be a side bonus.

Interesting idea, but most companies aren't in the business of giving out free stuff to all their customers. Also, the cost of SIM card doubled to $10 not too long ago, so seems unlikely they would be given for free.

PM had free sim cards a long time ago. I don't think this is something they would do again.

Especially since they are now available at retail stores.

It's been sugested many times.   Consider this one closed.  Good luck getting anything for free !

I signed up on a free sim card.  Dec 2015.  Used it for a 10-day trial.  Had to pay for my next one, as they started charing for shipping only, when I joined full time in summer 2016.

People - I am suggesting a promo - not making SIMs free. For each 'active' account you get a single free SIM to promote to your friends. One time only, and for a limited time.

I am not suggesting they make SIMs free again. Read.

I’m not suggesting a free one either.  But look at the shipping fees this will engage, even at one SIM per household, let alone per account.  No cents here, pun intended.

Whether it's free, or a promo, or what ever it's named, PM won't be giving them away for free or a discount to any current subscribed member.

They would have lots of explaining to do with the retail partners that have lots of inventory that they paid for.
