Transferring phone numbers

When setting up a Public Mobile account for my wife I used her previous cell carriers number from Virgin and put my Virgin number as "alternate number".  Somehow when her account was complete the system assigned my old cell number to her.  I went into her account and had her old phone number transferred to her Public Mobile account.  Then when I opened my account the system would not let select my old Virgin number so I selected a new number.  I now want to transfer my old number to my phone but the system says it is not available.  Why?

@Bruce, please check your virgin SIM card that has your number.  Is it still active?  By chance was both lines in the same account at virgin?  There is a good chance that both lines have been cancelled.  Hopefully both numbers are with Public Mobile so the moderators can retrieve them.

You will need to contact the Moderators.  Once you have changed your wife's number on PM from hers to yours it has released yours.
