@chriss, this seems to be an issue that's plaguing the system and seems to be due to the fact that this promo is just super popular. Hang in there and just try again later when the traffic dies down a bit. Trust me, it's worth the wait.
Also, try doing it during the quieter hours of the night, you may have a better chance to complete the port over during this time as well.
