transfered and overcharged

I transferred to koodo a few months ago because public mobile gave me a promo deal to switch over and today I was charged $61 for no reason. I have no longer been with public mobile for months. Please stop charging my credit card and refund my card.

@will13am I didn't bother when I ported to Koodo in late March, and received no phantom billing issue.  I don't think it's a universal issue applying to anyone that ports out without disabling AutoPay and/or removing credit card info first.

So it is the luck of the draw.

@will13am guessing it's not actually random, but the determining factor is not known to us (and likely not to PM, either)

So we are in violent agreement, it is all about reverse serendipity.

Lol, this is an account bug that keeps charging if the credit card is not removed.  The account should have no phone number or lack of a plan, so why would it charge?  Most post paid accounts need to stay alive for a period of time to cover the final bill.  This is a shortcoming of prepaid that is being taken advantage of by keeping the charges going.  Out of an abundance of caution, I removed my credit card and auto pay before porting out.
