I'm in the process of trying to switch over to public mobile with old phone number When i enter # for eligability it says its not eligable. I want to keep same phone number. What do i do??

@Jano, this post you've responded to is not about a locked cell phone, and it's over 3 months old. I think it's been dealt with already.

You either have to call Bell to have your phone unlocked or the faster way is to send a tweet to bell support @Bell_Support . They will ask you to PM them with some info about your phone and can get that process started. I received an email later in the same day with simple instructions for what to do when Pub Mob SIM card put into phone.

typically we always reccomend people to get a temporary number during activation. once activated then port your number.
99% of numbers can be ported there is a small % that can not. is yours one that can not be ported probably not. only way to find out is to contact mods. with your porting info and have them confirm number portability.
If i was a betting person i woudl activate with a temporary number try porting once you have a PM number or ask teh mods to port the number for you,

Is your Bell account active? The account has to be active before a port can be done.
The Public Mobile website is finicky. You can try a different web browser, clearing cache or going incognito/privacy mode.
