try reboot the phone
try reinsert the sim or try it on another phone
more important, login to My Account, confirm if your account is active. if suspended, then make a payment to resume service
Also, you can try to call 1-855-4PUBLIC from another phone , enter your number and it will tell you if your number/account is active
