I want to port in another number
Blurb tells me I have to do it through simon
Simon says I have to get a ticket for a moderator and offers a button to apply for this.
I hit this button - it tells me I have to open my account.
I try to open my account (which I have been in today already!)
It tells me there is an error in my user name.
Verified this name.
Tried changing password.
I can still get into the community - I just can't get a ticket made!
Help!

I was just having same problem. If you got to the point where you had to verify your id by submiting username and password you have to use your phone account info not your community account info.

One sim card per account per email address. You need a 2nd new sim with different email address you can use same credit card.
If first account is blocked you need the moderators help.
If other number your porting is Koodo prepaid you need moderators help.

Unless @gnemeth you're talking about porting number into 1st? Still would have to contact mods just ignore my first part about a 2nd account.

Are you activating a new account?
You can transfer/port in during activation. (except Koodo pre-paid) If after activation then yes you need to contact the moderators and thus the frustration. I get it.
