I live in a 4-story condo, and when at home, the reception for both our new iPhones is inferior. It cuts in and out and often disconnects. When in other areas - outside, in the community, we have no problems.

@JPA2  first try resetting your network settings, this may improve the connection. If not, you can open a ticket using the orange chat bubble and have PM do a network reset from the back end as well.  Hope this helps

No carrier has service everywhere.  You can try different devices is the hope that some have better reception properties than others, but other than that, your only real choice would be to change carriers.
