they keep sending me here to community and for verification need my account number with public mobile which is clearly i dont have yet? is there no contact number to call

If you need your Public Mobile account number, you are presumably moving to ANOTHER provider and NOT Public Mobile.
Is that correct?
If not, you'd need your prior provider account number to complete a port to a new mobile provider.
You can get the account number here (which is masked out) by logging into self-serve, then under your My Profile tab, hover your cursor over the 'crossed out eye' where the account number is, and jot down the account number.
Provide that number to the new provider if you're porting OUT.
Then, await the port authorization text, reply YES, then put your new provider SIM card in and you're there.

Your account number is available in your self service account under the Profile tab. Clear your browser cache and go incognito into self service.
