Xoom is another of those instant top-up things. Not like a voucher from recharge or stores.

@Naepalm Way t' take one for the team 🙂

I'm leery of using those instant top-ups just to not give out my number. But please do update us all.

@popping I have not used it yet, but reading through Public Mobile is set up to be paid through it. Xoom is not the same as recharge. So, recharge.com you can buy vouchers, where Xoom actually applies the payment directly to your account. I'll try using it this afternoon and give you some feedback on it 🙂

I also have not looked into fee structure. I may do a break down this week of the various online payment options and break them down so the community knows what works, and what is most cost-effective and what is timely 🙂

@Naepalm

PM is not set up to receive online payment from CC or bank account.

I wonder how using Xoom will work paying PM fee.

Is Xoom work similar to recharge.com?

How much is the convenient fee to use Xoom?

If you have visa debit you can make a payment with that. Another option for you is to reload using Xoom a Paypal affiliate.  https://www.xoom.com/canada/mobile-reloads

Reloading phones with your PayPal account

Since Xoom is a service of PayPal, you can choose to pay bills with a bank account, credit card, or debit card linked to your PayPal account. However, you cannot pay with the money in your PayPal balance.

Just log in or sign up for a Xoom account using your PayPal account information and select a PayPal-linked payment method at checkout.

All you need is your recipient’s mobile phone number to reload their minutes. Xoom will automatically detect their mobile carrier based on the number you provide.

As soon as the reload is complete, your recipient will receive a text message update.

How to reload phones with Xoom.

  1. Select ‘Reload’
  2. Choose your recipient’s country
  3. Enter the phone number
  4. Pick a reload amount
  5. Choose to pay with a bank account, debit card, or credit card
  6. Press ‘Authorize’ and you’re done

No, unable to pay via e transfer.  Only credit card or visa debit cards with autopay.  Or payment voucher either purchases in store or online (recharge.com - service fee applies)
