Do you have the $60 plan that was offered between July 19 and October 10 2019?

If yes, then your phone should work in both Canada and USA.

Otherwise with any other PM plan, you need to purchase a US Roaming add-on for your phone to work while in USA.

Which phone do you have? Have you tried restarting your phone?

Try connecting to AT&T or T-Mobile network?

You need one of these add-ons, unless you have the $60 plan that includes US Roaming.

Buying a US roaming add-on is the only way to use your phone in the US.

International calling as part of your plan means you can make international calls and texts WHILE IN CANADA only.

EDIT:

To buy a roaming add-on...

1. log into your self-serve account
2. click on the "Purchase Add-Ons" button
3. choose the add-on you want, then add the funds to your account if needed
4. go back to the add-ons page and select your add-on
