Have put in sim card but "no service" is displayed beside 3 bar connection. Phone does not work at this point. Solutions????

Check your account status in your account ? Was your phone recently ported (transferred) ?
If your phone was working the you could try the following.
You could try the following but there is the potential to lose any rewards. Try the lost/stolen feature. You could potentially lose any rewards. Log in to self-serve. Plan & Add-Ons from top menu. Lost/Stolen Phone from next menu. Suspend Service button. Log out. Wait a few minutes. Log back in and back to Lost/Stolen Phone and Resume Service this time. Log out. Restart phone. Also try adding a $1 payment. if you still have problems then submit a ticket to a moderator by clicking on the question mark on the bottom right.

What's your status when you login to your self-serve
Is it a new activation?
When is your renewal date?
Is the sim card first time that sim is in that phone?
What happens when you put the sim in another phone that is known to work on Telus network
Was the phone ever used on Telus/Koodo/public network?
