Yes my telus phone was working fine and all paid up, no issues.  No any more!  Can I put my telus sim card back in and will it work?

Try it to put your sim with Telus in your phone and let us know...

Hi, went in at noon today to switch to Public Mobile (PM) at London Drugs.  After 1 1/2hrs the sales person could not get my phone to work, phone has no service.I was sent home with a phone that does not work and told to wait 24hrs!  Really?

This sounds like a port issue if it’s an issue with moving your number.

Was your Telus account still active, and in good standing?  For example, was it working before the clerk attempted activation?

Well. first he took some info, etc... Then he call someone at Public Mobile (PB) because my phone (Iphone6) say no service, he was told my phone needs to be wiped out/factor reset, he was also told to try sim card on another phone.  okay he hung up and said factory reset was not an option for me as I would loose all data, he removed sim card and tried it on a new phone, same thing, no service.  He called back, got someone different (15-20 minutes on phone) and end result no service, something to do with difficulty keeping my existing phone number (i was with telus).  Still no service!

The good news is if your sim card is not activated..you can do yourself at home and with a referral you can have 25$ credit!! But if your sim was "partial" activated it's another thing...Could you tell us what the sales person already did?

@blownc63 So you used another sim to activate a line? Are you sure the first sim you tried was not activated before?

@blownc63Usually I would say clear your cache/browsing history remove all cookies associated with activate.publicmobile* and try another browser / disable add-ons / private browsing / incognito. If you are using safari / cell phone go to a real computer and if all that fails, wait 65 minutes and try again.

But since you already used a new sim to solve the issue, contact the mods to see if there was a problem with it. If there was and you never used it, maybe they can send you a new one or shed some light . Click this to send them a message.
