Hmmm. How come? OP mentioned it worked for a couple of hours. How port can stop working? Just curious - want to learn...

@HALIMACS @Meow  - one possibility could be, that, the previous provider's account was cancelled before the port completed. This would have interrupted the porting process and likely caused a stuck/failed port.

But really, until more details is shared from the OP, these are just stabs in the dark here.

It may be possible, @Meow

Perhaps the OP had limited functionality (or perhaps was utilizing iMessage/chat in the period afterwards, and not SIM features such as SMS or calling???)

You might be correct. If one has 'normal' mobile phone there would be no issues like apple's stuff imessage or similar.

Let see how this develops and what is the problem.

If they didn't reply YES to the port authorize request, the may have never completed porting.

Perhaps @esjliv could elaborate further?

@beattym  - sounds like a failed port. Did you transfer a cell number over to Public Mobile?

IF so, you need to respond to an text from your old provider to approve the port.
