did you use the PM app to complete the activation and got all the way to step 6??
if you were using the PM app to activate, the app would install the eSIM for you without the need to scan the eSIM QR code. If you really need to scan QR code to install the eSIM, take a screenshot of the QR code and save it on the phone. Use app like Google Len to open the screenshot file and it will install that way
